Morgan delivers a wonderful little boy- Grant

Morgan and the baby had a very reactive, good NST on Wednesday and also a favorable check of the baby and amniotic fluid by ultrasound. It was also noted that she was contracting while on the monitor and that the cervix had changed since the prior week's visit.
She began having contractions in earnest in the evening and by 1 a.m. was 4 centimeters.
Katie and Robert came to Walnut Creek early this morning [November 18th] to see Morgan, Johnny and their happy new family member. This gave Lori and I a chance to play with an enthusiastic, inquisitive and very bright little guy from Rohnert Park.
He was relentlessly cheerful.
Katie took some delivery pictures, and then left the SD card with Morgan. She may share some of those photos from the immediate delivery time later.

Baby Boy Holbrook born at 11:51 a.m. weighed 7 lbs. 15 1/2 ounces, which I would say is as close as you can get to a full eight pounds. He was born ready to make noise and was not happy with all the ministrations and attention he got soon after birth.
When only about 20 minutes old he also began 'rooting' all over the front of Johnny's shirt, apparently somewhat like his mother he wanted regular and early food.

Dad Johnny shows off newborn Grant's abundant dark hair and the somewhat goose-egged shape that all of mom's 2 1/2 hours of hard pushing created.

What a wonderful mother. We are so proud of her and joyous at their success.
All well with mommy and her baby.
