Diamond Lake

This is the lake where Lori's family went on summer vacation for most years while she was a teenager. They fished and then smoked or bottled the trout. Also cooked almost all the meals and stayed for a week.

These are the cabins where Lori's family stayed for most visits. There are also some lodging options that are connected, more like motel rooms. The rooms are close to the water and set in the pines.
Most of the fisherman coming in from the lake had ten inch rainbow trout, although the lake website also shows some larger fish taken this year.

Lori in the lake store where she remembers getting penny candy as a girl. She is also checking in one the cell phone and then reported to Lois about her visit to Diamond Lake.

Mt. Bailey on the western side of the lake.
Mt. Thelsen on the eastern side, a very narrow peak and a wilderness area surrounds it. For some reason Lori did not want to get a fishing license, catch her limit and then go to work canning her fish. Guess she did not have that much nostalgia.
