Lyla Sarah Powers arrives

Lyla Sarah Powers kept us waiting a couple of extra days, but she was worth it.

We are fortunate to live close enough to go when the labor call came. So we visited with her and Robert at the hospital and then picked up Liam and Gwen from the neighbors.

Rebecca came from Martinez. We expected Quinn to be along to and perhaps Griffin but no such luck.
She kindly stayed the first night with Katie

Liam meeting his little sister for the first time. He is kind and gentle

Lyla trying to open her eyes the first day. She didn't like the light and seemed a bit puzzled by whatever she was seeing

Wonderful mother, Katie. She makes the difficult pregnancy and labor experience seem very gentle. Lyla joins a very special family with her and Robert as parents

Liam does very complicated Lego sets by himself. He can see a plan on paper or on the computer and then create whatever he is seeing. And if it comes apart he doesn't need to consult the instructions to rebuild it.

These constructions have LOTS of parts

Eyes open

Grandma Lori reading some stories. They are very good at stretching out the bedtime rituals

Too typical Gwennie expression

We love you Baby Lyla
Thank you for joining our family
