Elder Whiting returns from Panama

Gweneth wanted to ride the escalators while we waited, so we made several trips up to the top floor and back again.

Who is this Elder Whiting? I need my rest

Our first sighting

Lori gets the first hug

Gwen has never seen Elder Whiting. Katie said she needs a sign, "I've waited my Whole life to See You'

Katie, Greg and Chelsea make some of the signs

Pam Peterson brought over this sign, we put it above the front door

Robert came from Rohnert Park and needed to return immediately after Jeff's arrival

Grandma Lois holding the balloons

Ecco shoes which are nearly worn out by two years of working in Panama. Earlier he also gave another pair away to a Latin companion who needed shoes and then later the boots to a different companion also in need.

Ben and Jeff enjoy a very late night snack and treats. In fact Ben got into it earlier than the guest of honor. It was after 10:30 before we left his interview with Pres. Murphy at the stake offices.

Elder Whiting suggested that his clothes and luggage should be left outside until we were ready to inspect and wash them
He was also given two medications as he left Panama to take over two days to eliminate parasites. They had written across the bottom -'Especially since you served in San Blas'
We are very thankful for this day and for his most faithful service and wonderful example.
