Nauvoo & the Temple

Okay, so this is a puzzle. There were eight vehicles like this on a very large farm field. The coil is 6 or 8 inch ABD pipe with small perforations. It is being laid about 18 inches into the ground which is very rolling terrain.
So is is drainage or irrigation - neither seemed very likely on the rolling fields.
The field below is on the opposite side of the farm buildings and appears to have completed the process. The bottom field is flatter than the first one.
???

Lori is standing by Joseph and Brigham down by the Mississippi, they are looking toward the West. The small structure behind them lists 5 Whitings who did not survive the long trek; and 8 of the Cox family.
We had to visit here because Anne Marie Mullen has told us that she wants to serve her mission as the bake lady in the gingerbread house.
The lady working in there today told us that they start baking those in about January and freeze them in huge chests. She is married to a counselor in the mission presidency - we also met him in the Living Family center.
Great people.
Joseph and Hyrum are portrayed on the bluff above the town, just below the temple. This is the point where they stopped and looking back at Nauvoo and then toward the temple before leaving forever on the road to Carthage.

We were privileged to be in a session in the Temple this afternoon. A wonderful experience at the city where the endowment began in this dispensation.
We went early to enjoy the interior and the experience. The carpets are exquisite and beautiful. The dressing areas feature a grey marble the color of our bedroom/bathroom granite and walnut lockers.
Some of the chairs appear to have silk covers.
The endowment progresses through 5 rooms with film - the Garden and Celestial rooms were especially beautiful. The Celestial has a light yellow wall color with white marble columns and green and gold touches in the accents around the room.
They also took us down to tour the baptistry area [largest font in the Church, it was made that way so that more than one baptism could be done at the same time]. It has beautiful antique glass and stained glass around it [you can only go into the room in white].
A beautiful 6 story, spiral staircase near the entry.
