Jeff enters the MTC

This was a touching moment for me. Before we left on Monday morning I found Jeff sitting on our kitchen floor playing with Heidi. Of course Oscar thought he needed some attention too. Jeff, of all the family, has always been Heidi's favorite, she will always chose to go to him when given a choice. It reminded me of even the small sacrifices that he is making to be obedient.
Jeff wanted to visit his grandparents prior to beginning service as a missionary. This picture features his extra-tall grandmother in their Logan home.
Joseph was a tender mercy during the last few hours prior to entry into the MTC. We shared dinner at Jason's Deli, as Joseph was able to come between his evening classes. The next morning he came to breakfast at Magleby's Fresh [this picture]. We then visited University Mall for a few minutes and Jeff looked at some things and just walked around.
Joseph understanding and joking ability with Jeff were wonderful. Jeff became very quiet and contemplative as the time approached.
This picture is somewhat strained, it is just below the Provo Temple grounds and outside the MTC. The temple spire is in the background. We are very pleased with Jeff's testimony and desire to serve.
It is still a heart-wrenching time. Especially the tearful drive away from the MTC as he walked inside.
