Sutter Memorial Labor & Delivery

Jared Moss was recently hospitalized with a severe stroke. Ironically after having been born here he was in the peds icu for the last week of it's function as a hospital. He passed through the veil on the last full day that it was in operation before all the patients were transferred to the new hospital

Lori and I met at this hospital a few years ago. She was working as a Labor and Delivery RN.

The old unit we worked in was replaced when a new tower was built.

The last time we visited Jared we decided to walk over to the old unit and see if anything was recognizable.

Surprisingly from the back stairs by the OB doctors parking lot, to the delivery areas [deliveries were not done in the labor rooms], the labor rooms, nursing station, nursery area and hallways - very little was changed.

It had been left as is since it was no longer used for patient care.

We walked around and remembered our time working here and then dating. Lori says that I stole a kiss from her by the elevator but I'm sure that she is exaggerating.

This picture is taken in front of the unit. The Labor and Delivery unit was on the second floor here.

Rebecca and Morgan were also born here. Lori remembered the actual room location. I remember bringing Rebecca in to see her new sister, she was not impressed that having a new sister was in any way a good idea.
